Application in the Mentor’s Foundation has to do with the performance or living out of things received at the educational level with regard to mentoring and discipleship. Where education is a means of mental, emotional, and willful inputs concerning how to live life in meaningful ways, applications are the ways that education is employed in real life.
Application reveals our maturity level concerning what we have been introduced to and educated in with regard to a meaningful way to live life. The Mentor’s Foundation uses Seven Life Relationships as the areas in which we can reveal our maturity concerning the things we have been introduced to or educated in. These are not the only areas of life we can apply ourselves to but they are a comprehensive summary of the key areas of life that all of us need to grow in for a balanced perspective in living.
God Applications
God applications concern spiritual disciplines of prayer, meditation, Bible intake, Bible study, theological understanding, Bible memorization, and habits of living as they relate to our walk with God.
Mind Applications
Mind Applications deal with the maturity in which we apply our thinking processes, emotional stability, and willful choices. Mind applications deal with the way we express our souls psychologically to the world around us.
Body Applications
Body applications deal with our genetic foundations and structure and how these are applied through healthy diets and exercise in our physical world.
People Applications
People applications deal with how we relate to others in the world around us for the best and most wholesome ends. Many people are afraid of “politics” in the world when in truth, life itself is a political relationship with others, even if it is not in a governmental context. Learning healthy people skills is part of living a meaningful and healthy lifestyle.
Family Applications
Family applications are people skills applied most effectively with those nearest us in a family relationship. Modern studies of family systems therapy have taught us that there are family dynamics which can create unhealthy families or corrupt healthy ones. The Mentor’s Foundation promotes healthy family relationships as eternal principles are applied in a temporal world.
Work Applications
Work applications deal with how eternal truths are applied to authority figures [the Boss], peers, and subordinates in the business of life. How we operate in a work environment is part of applying eternal truths to a temporal atmosphere.
Money Applications
Money applications can make us or break us in a constantly changing world. Applying ourselves to healthy money management skills is not an art taught by many parents or even addressed in public or private school settings in many places. But money management is a practical and necessary art and science for living daily life in a healthy way.
